Martin Margiela is one of the most iconoclastic fashion designers of all time – and it is also one of the most invisible. It has been nearly eight years since he left the house he founded, and withdrew from the world of fashion, but the effect of engineering colleges, their conceptual approach and the elegant aesthetic remains as deep as ever.
Exhibition in Paris
Today, a major retrospective of his work was published Margiela. Set to open in March 2018, it is understood that the exhibition will be held at the Palais Galliera in Paris.
He also said that the designer himself will work on display with lush curator Olivier Saillard and fashion history. The news was first reported by the French newspaper Le Figaro Figaro Scope cultural supplement, but no further information is disclosed.
